Ivybridge Town Juniors

Ivybridge Town Junior Football Club was established on 3rd June 2004 by Club Secretary, Paul Cocks. Since 1925, when the Club was founded, Ivybridge Town has never had any Junior teams or youth set-up in any way. After a Club Committee meeting in May 2004, that was going to change.

What started out as a free taster session for Under 10's in June 2004 has now become one of the most advanced Junior set-ups in the County. Ivybridge Town Junior Football Club currently run Junior teams at all age groups starting at 5 years old and running right through to Under 18's. This season, 2007/08, we entered 10 teams across 8 different age groups into the Devon Junior and Minor League, playing competitive football throughout Devon and Cornwall.

In 2006, we started 'Mini Ivies' which is organised coaching sessions for 5-7yr olds. This has proven to be one of the most popular parts of the Junior set-up with over 40 children in attendance every Saturday morning. Already, we are seeing the benefit of these sessions in the creation of our first ever Under 8's side, who are currently playing regular friendlies in preparation for their entry into the DJM League for the 2008/09 season at Under 9's.
