Martyn King

Injury: Suspected cruciate knee ligament damage
Date sustained: Wednesday 9th Nov, Budleigh Salterton (Away)
Outlook: Possibly out for the rest of the season
Update: The prognosis of Martyn's knee injury is not clear. After a number of weeks rest, he felt confident to have a run out against Holsworthy on 7th January, but his knee did not hold out. On the recommendation of his doctor, he has put in for an MRI scan, which is scheduled for 28th Jan.
Latest:
The result of Martyn's MRI scan are very positive confirming that there is no cruciate damage and more importantly that he does not require any surgery. The doctors think that Martyn could be back in action for the Ivies by April if rehabilitation does according to plan. They have also confirmed that his knee shows no sign of 'wear and tear; which means that there are a few years left in the old dog yet!
