16/02 - Barry Fry dinner on Thursday. We look forward to our first Sportsmans dinner of 2010, at which we will be hosting the legendary Barry Fry as our guest speaker. The evening will be held at Boringdon Golf Club and will include a 3 course meal and a top quality comedian. Tickets are available for £35 per person or £350 for a table of 10. Anyone interested should contact Brian on 07811101253. Book early to avoid disappointment.

24/01 - Club Secretary returns to India for another 4 months. Club Secretary Paul Cocks returns to India to work for another 4 months today.

23/01 - First team secure 3 points in win over Cullompton. On a very difficult and sticky surface at Erme Valley, Ivybridge put on a strong performance to beat Cullompton 1-0.

28/12 - Ivybridge bow out of the Throgmorton Cup. A poor display from Ivybridge saw them exit the Throgmorton Cup this afternoon, losing 3-1 to Exmouth Town of the East Division. A heavily depleted Ivybridge squad took a further blow after Gavin Cockman sustained a nasty gash to his shin that will keep him out of the side for a couple of weeks at least.

21/12 - Junior fixtures updated. Updated fixtures for the remainder of the 2009/10 season have now been uploaded for all of the Junior teams, to include Mini Soccer. Please click on the respective teams fixtures to see the updates.

22/11 - Under 14's through to 3rd Round of DCFA Cup. The U14's pulled off a comprehensive 8-2 victory over Watts, Blake & Bearne today at Erme Valley. The goals came courtesy of a Billy Rowell hat-trick, a brace from Adrian Kadner and solo efforts from Michael Haley, Carlin Sibley and Reece Jefferies. The boys will now face Braunton Wanderers at home on Sunday 10th January 2010. Congratulations.

12/11 - Draw for the Devon County Youth Cups. The draw for the 3rd Round of the Devon County Youth Cups has been made. If the U14's progress against Watts Blake& Bearne, they have a home draw on 10th January and will play the winners of Totnes & Braunton Wanderers. The U16's got a waIkthrough is the last round and will now face Staddiscombe on 19th January. If they progress against Staddiscombe, they will face either Plymstock, Tiverton, Westom Mill or Plymouth Trophyman in the Quarter-Finals.

09/11 - Big Cup weekend for Ivybridge Juniors. This Saturday is Cup weekend for four of the Ivybridge Town Junior Teams, all of which are in action in their respective DJM League Cup Semi-Finals. The U12's are playing Lipson United, the U13's are playing Old Suttonians, the U14's are playing Saltash Youth and the U16's are playing Laira United Kolts. We wish every team the very best of luck in getting through to the finals.

07/11 - 1st team grind out draw against Villa at Haye Road. The First team managed to come back from 2-nil down to draw 2-a-piece with local rivals Elburton Villa after a hard fought game at Haye Road. Ivybridge can thank Jamie Middleton and Gavin Cockman for the goals that salvaged a point from a game that Elburton dominated for large parts.

07/11 - One win and one loss for the Juniors. Only two of the Ivybridge Junior teams were in action today. One of the U10's teams were in action against Tamarside Kings and won 4-2. The U14's were in action and lost out 4-6 to St Cleer Youth.

31/10 - First team lose 2-0 to Falmouth. The First team lost 2-0 to in-form Falmouth at Erme Valley today.

25/10 - U15's through to 3rd Round of Devon County Cup. The Under 15's have been given a walkthrough to the 3rd Round of the U15's Devon County FA Cup after their opposition, Barnstaple Town Youth, withdrew from the Competition. Ivybridge will now face the winners of Staddiscombe v Kingskerswell Colts Youth in a game that will be played on 10th January 2010

31/10 - Reserves win 12 goal thriller. This was a great game for the neutral with 12 goals being scored between Ivybridge and Lee Moor WMOV. Ivybridge came away with 3 points after winning the game 7-5. Rennie and Bettison were both in fine form to score a hat-trick each, the other Ivybridge goal coming courtesy of Thomas.

31/10 - Fantastic day for the Juniors. Across the age groups in action today only 1 team lost. The U9's drew 1-1 against Morley and beat Saltash Utd 1-0, the U10's beat Activate 10-0 and lost 3-0 away to Callington, the U11's continued their fine run with a 9-3 win over St Cleer, the U12's beat League leaders Tavistock Town 5-4 which sees them go to the top of the table, the U15's beat Plymstock 4-2 and the U16's beat AF United 3-1.
 
26/10 - Ivybridge welcome Nicky Marker to the Management. We are delighted to welcome Nicky Marker to the coaching staff of the Ivybridge Town First Team. Nicky, who now lives in Ivybridge, is a seasoned professional playing 543 games in the professional game, 54 of which were played for Blackburn Rovers in their Premiership winning period. Nicky will bring a wealth of experience to the Club and we are delighted that he is keen to get involved.

24/10 - Ivybridge beat Torpoint 2-0 to progress in League Cup. Ivybridge First Team beat Torpoint Athletic 2-0 in the second round of the Throgmorton Cup today at Erme Valley, with both goals coming courtesy of striker Jamie Middleton.

24/10 - Reserves win in tough game against Shakespeare. The Reserves were in action in the P&D League today and did well to pull off a 2-1 win in a tough encounter against Shakespeare. The goals came courtesy of Ryan Hargreaves and Scott Rennie.

24/10 - Mixed bag of results for the Juniors. Only a few of the Junior teams were in action today given the inclement weather. Of the five teams in action, 3 won and 2 lost. The U10's beat Tavistock Thistles 4-0 in the Haytor Division, the U10's lost 4-1 to Keyham in the Sheeps Tor Division, the U12's beat YMCA Kitto 8-0, the U14's beat YMCA Kitto 5-3 and the U16's lost to local rivals Manstow, 2-1.

17/10 - Ben Anniss suffers serious injury against Bucks - Today's win over Buckland was irrelevant as Ivybridge's young midfielder Ben Anniss suffered a triple leg break. Our thoughts are with Ben and everyone at the Club wishes him a speedy recovery.

03/10 - Clyst game postponed. The First team's scheduled Peninsula League match on Monday 5th October, against Clyst Rovers, has been postponed due to a floodlight failure at Waterslade Park.

17/10 - Numerous Junior fixture changes released - There have been a number of fixture amendments across the Junior age groups for the League and County Cups. Please check the respective fixture pages for details.

17/10 - Four Junior Teams through to Cup Semi Finals - Congratulations to the U12's, U13's, U14's and U16's who all won their Cup games today and progress through to their respective League Cup Semi Finals. These games will be played on Saturday 14th November.

03/10 - Devon County Cup draws available now. The fixtures for the Devon County Cups are now available on the Devon FA website, for all age groups. This includes the draw for all of the Ivybridge Senior and Youth sides who have been entered into the respective competitions. Click here to view the draw in full.

15/09 - Club Secretary is off to India for 3-months.
I am off to India on a 3-month work assignment, returning on 17th December. I'll be keeping tabs on all of the Ivybridge teams and will continue to update the website from India.

03/10 - Witheridge score late equaliser. Ivybridge left North Devon kicking themselves for allowing Witheridge to equalise in the 94th minute. Just minutes before the goal, Ivybridge took a 2-1 lead courtesy of Stewart Yetton only to conceed for the kick-off. Ryan Gibbons scored the other Ivybridge goal with a towered header.

03/10 - Reserves just miss out in Cup thriller. The Reserves were involved in a very entertaining game against the University of Plymouth in the 2nd Round of the George Gillin Trophy. The game went into extra time at 2-2. After a stale mate in extra time, it went through to a penalty shoot out, with the University eventually winning 8-7.

21/09 - Fice signs for Falmouth
Ivybridge striker, Ryan Fice, has decided to leave Erme Valley and head to Falmouth in what is believed to have been a lucrative deal. We wish Ryan all the best and thank him for his service whilst he was with us.

19/09 - Ivybridge go top after win over Witheridge.
Ivybridge saw off North Devon opposition, Witheridge, this afternoon at Erme Valley. The three points put Ivybridge at the top of the South West Peninsula League Premier Division for the first (and hopefully not the last) time this season. New loan striker, Stewart Yetton, scored on his debut for the Bridgers.

19/09 - Reserves beat Hooe Rovers in George Gillin Cup.
Ivybridge Reserves beat a Hooe Rovers side 2-0 in the George Gillin Cup, managed by former Ivybridge Manager Mike Crook. It was a good game of football in which Didier Neza and Matthew Bettison were on the scoresheet for Ivybridge.

19/09 - Mixed bag of results for Ivybridge Youth.
It was a mixed day today for those Ivybridge youth teams that were in action. The U9's beat Tavistock 9-1, and lost 3-4 to Tamarside, the U10's lost 4-1 to SB Frankfort and beat Phoenix City 2-1, the U11's lost 3-1 in the Cup, the U12's beat Activate 6-1, the U13's won 4-3 in the Cup and the U15's lost 2-1 to Elm United.

18/09 - Ivybridge secure the services of Truro's Stewart Yetton.
The Ivybridge Town First Team Management team have swopped on an opportunity to secure the services of Truro City's prolific front-man Stewart Yetton on a one-month loan spell. This follows another recent loan player from Truro, Jamie Dirrane.

10/09 - LeTissier in town for Sportsmans Dinner.
Our annual Sportsmans Dinner with special guest, England and Southampton legend, Matt Le Tissier. LeTissier will be accompanied by a top local comedian and compere. The night will start at 7pm at Boringdon Park Golf Club. See you there.

10/09 - First team's game tainted by poor Referee.
Last night's league game against Bodmin at Priory Park, which Ivybridge lost 1-3, was tainted by a poor display from the referee and some sublime goak keeping from Kevin Miller. The referee awarded 2 penalties against Ivybridge who matched Bodmin in open play for the whole 90 minutes.

25/08 - First team share the points with Villa at Erme Valley. The First team had to settle for a 2-2 draw against Elburton Villa this evening, with the Ivybridge goals coming from Ben Anniss and an absolute screamer from Ryan McClements. Villa demonstrated the significant improvements they have made to their squad during the close season and will no doubt prove to be a force this season.

22/08 - Reserves get their first win of the season against Chard. The Reserves continued their good start to the season, not only continuing their unbeaten run but securing all 3 points against Chard Utd. Ivybridge won the game 3-1 courtesy of a brace from Cornew, taking his tally to 6, and a single effort from Molloy.

22/08 - First team lose 2-0 at Bickland Park. The first team had a long journey back to Plymouth this afternoon after suffering a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Falmouth. Ivybridge only have themselves to blame for the missed chances and will need to bounce back in Tuesday's game against Elburton Villa.

18/08 - First team secure 3 points against Torpoint. The first team made hard work of their game this evening against Torpoint but nevertheless took all 3 points with a 1-0 win thanks to a single strike by Joe Truelove.

18/08 - Reserves draw 3-3 again against Cafe Roma. The Reserves continued their unbeaten start to the 2009/10 campaign in the P&D Senior Division 1 this evening with a 3-3 draw against Cafe Roma. The bridgers goals came courtesy of Cornew, Molloy and Hargraves.

17/08 - DJM fixtures for 2009/10 season are released. I have collected the DJM fixtures this at tonight's fixture meeting. I am working on getting all of the fixtures on the website within the next 48hrs.

15/08 - First back to winning ways at Lux Park. After Tuesday's disappointing 5-2 defeat at the hands of the Ashes, Ivybridge bounced back in fine style this afternoon with a good performance at Lux Park, beating a talented Liskeard side, 5-1. Anniss, Fice, Bailey, Truelove, and Widdicombe all got on the score sheet,

15/08 - Good day for the Juniors in pre-season action. The Ivybridge U14's and U15's were both in action today. The Under 14's beat Tamarside U13's 7-4 and the Under 15's beat AFC Plympton 9-2.

15/08 - Reserves draw 3-3 against Morley in season opener. The Ivybridge Reserves secured their first point of the season today with a 3-3 draw against an experienced Morley side. Michael Cornew was in fine form, scoring all 3 of the Ivies goals.

13/08 - Rundle returns to Holsworthy. After just one game of the 2009/10 season, Lee Rundle has returned to Holsworthy, the club that that he left in the close season to join us.

28/07 - Revised planning permission gets unanimous approval. Following the confirmation that Ivybridge Cricket Club are leaving Erme Valley for Filham Park, we moved quickly to submit revised planning applications to relocate the new 1st team pitch, floodlights and stand. Our planning application was given unaninimous support from the Council Chamber on 22nd July and we were commended by a for our excellent contribution to the Community of Ivybridge.
 
02/08 - Reserves win pre-season friendly against Horrabridge. The Reserves continued their good pre-season run this afternoon with a 2-1 win over Horrabridge Rangers who play in PWDCFL Division One, a league higher. The goals came courtesy of Alex Henniker and James Fuller.

01/08 - Widds is wacked and will miss the start of the season. Andy Widdicombe was subjected to an ugly challenge this afternoon during the First Team's pre-season "friendly" against Brixham United, which ended 2-2. Andy's ankled swelled immediately and the initial fear was that he'd broken it. Having spent the afternoon in hospital, the good news is that Andy's ankle is not broken. However, he has sustained extensive ankle ligament damage. We wish Andy a speedy recovery.

30/07 - Mini Ivies, U8's and U9's (2009/10) close season break. Last Saturday was the final session before the Mini Ivies, and next season's Under 8's and Under 9's trained before they embark on a short break. The teams will resume on Saturday 15th August.

30/07 - Friendlies confirmed for U8's and U9's (Russell's Team). The Under 8's will play a friendly against Plymouth Kolts on Saturday 15th August with an 11am KO at Manadon. The Under 9's (Russell's team) will be playing Woolwell on Saturday 22nd August, the time and venue are to be confirmed.

29/07 - Reserves continue unbeaten pre-season campaign. The Reserves seem to have handled their transition from Under 18 football very well indeed and the early signs are very encouraging. They continued their unbeaten pre-season campaign last night with a 2-1 win over Stonehouse Glass. This followed on from last Saturday's 3-0 win over St Dominic's of the Duchy Premier Division.

29/07 - South West Peninsula League require Finance Director. The Board of Directors are currently seeking applications for the position of Finance Director for the league. Applications close on Saturday 22nd August and interviews will be held on Thursday 27th August at Saltash United AFC.

08/09 - Devon County Council awards us with an £80,000 grant. We received a massive boost last week when we got the news from Devon County Council that they have awarded us with an £80,000 Community Grant to help to fund the much needed facility improvements at Erme Valley. This is boost that we had been waiting for and will allow us to proceed with significant developments. Click here for the response from the Club.

29/07 - Countdown to the 2009/10 season almost over. The countdown to the 2009/10 season has almost finished. The South West Peninsular League season gets underway for the 1st team on Tues 11th August. The P&D league season gets underway for the Reserves Saturday 15th August. For the Junior teams, the DJM season will start on Saturday 5th September and the Pioneer League will start on Sunday 13th September.
 
29/07 - Junior fixtures will be released within shortly. The fixtures for the DJM and Pioneer Youth League will be published in August at the respective League's fixtures meeting. The Pioneer fixtures will be published on 5th August and the DJM fixtures will be published on 17th August. Following their publication, they will be uploaded to this site.

28/07 - Website updates for 2009/10 almost finished. The webiste has been undergoing a significant number of updates in preparation for the new 2009/10 season and to accommodate the new teams and Leagues that we have entered for the forthcoming season as the Club continues to grow. These updates are almost finished and I'll be going back to daily updates in due course. Thanks for your patience.

25/07 - First team continue strong start with win over Budleigh. The First team continued their strong start to the pre-season campaign this afternoon with a 6-1 win over East Division side, Budleigh Salterton. The goals wre shared between Truelove(2), Fice, Middleton, OG(2). We would like extend our sincere thanks to everyone at Budleigh Salterton for their hospitality.

25/07 - First team drawn against Holsworthy in St Lukes Bowl. The First Team have been drawn away against Holsworthy in the 1st round of the Devon County FA St Lukes Bowl. This game has to be played by 30th November. As soon as the dates are agreed with Holsworthy, the fixture page will be updated.

23/06 - Ivybridge Juniors join the Pioneer Youth League. Ivybridge Town were unanimously accepted into the Pioneer Youth League last night at the League's AGM. Ivybridge have entered one Under 10's team and one Under 8's team into the League next season, which now gives children the opportunity to play who otherwise would have missed out.

22/06 - First Team pre-season fixtures confirmed. The Ivybridge First team have confirmed the details of their busy pre-season friendly campaign which will involve a number of games as well as a gruelling training regime. The pre-season activity will finish on a high with a friendly at Erme Valley against Southern League South & West Champions, Truro City.

22/06 - 8,500 vouchers collected....thank you. We had a great response to the Tesco Sport Voucher caompaign again this year, and collected 8,500 vouchers. This will buy the Club 35 match balls, which would have otherwise cost over £300. Thank you to all of you who contributed.

21/05 - Lynch and Howard identify new recruits. The First Team Management of James Lynch and Brian Howard have moved quickly at to identify the players that they would like to bring to the Club next season as they start to prepare for the 2009/10 campaign with the intention of improving on this season's achievements. More news to follow.

22/06 - Juniors have a good weekend at the Morley Tournament. Ivybridge Town Juniors were represented at U7's, U8's, U9's, U10's and U13's and had a good weekend. All age groups did well in their League's and the Under 8's made it through to the semi-finals. Thank you to the volunteer Coaches and Managers that gave up their weekend and well done to all of the boys that took part.

17/05 - First Team Presentation Awards. The First Team end of season presentation awards took place last night at the Exchange in Ivybridge and a great night was had by all. The 'Player's Player of the Season' was awarded to Martyn Sullivan, the 'Manager's Player of the Season' was awarded to Joe Truelove, the 'Best New Player of the Season' was awarded to Ben Anniss, the 'Spectators Player of the Season' was awarded to Steve Hatfield, the 'Leading Goalscorer of the Season' was awarded to Ryan Fice and the 'President & Chairman's Award' was given to Justin Crowley. Our thanks to Dan and his team at the Exchange for their hospitatilty.

07/05 - First Team in final game of the season tonight. This evening's South West Peninsula Premier Division fixture at Kimberley is going to be an interesting one as both teams are homing in on 3rd place in the League. The game has a 7:30pm KO.

05/05 - Reserves see their cup final abandoned in 85th minute. Sadly the Challenge Bowl Final had to be postponed in the 85th minute tonight after a Roborough player broke his leg. At the time of the abandonment, the result was 1-1 after Ivybridge took the lead. The game will now be replayed. We wish the Roborough player all the very best and hope he has a quick recovery.

04/05 - First team lose Cup Final despite their domination. The First Team put on a superb performance against League Champions, Bodmin Town, in the Throgmorton League Cup Final, dominating the game from the first whistle. Chances were not converted and a blatent penalty decision not awarded before Bodmin snuck the winner 6 minutes from time. Despite the disappointment, the Club can we proud of the team's performance and congratulate for their achivement in reaching the final, beating all of the top teams en route.

23/05 - First Team head off for annual trip to Dublin. The First team are heading off to Ireland this morning on the 7th Annual trip to sample the delights of Dublin's Temple Bar. 18 of the squad and Management look forward for what is sure to be an excellent trip. What will Ratboy get up to this year????

18/05 - Annual tournament was a great success, despite the weather. Despite the most dreadful weather, this years Annual Mini Soccer Tournament was a tremendous success with 46 teams participating in an excellent day. The U7's was won by AC Plymouth, the U8's Final was won by Woolwell Tigers, the U9's Final was won by Plymstock United and the U10's Final was won by keyham Kolts. The full details if the tournament, to include a selection of photos from the day will be posted here in the coming days.

03/05 - Juniors have a great day in Newquay. Ivybridge attended the Cornwall FA Charter Standard Tournament today with teams at Under 7's, Under 8's and Under 10's. All of the teams did well in their groups, especially the U7's who played together as a team for the first ever time and one of the U8's teams were undefeated and did not conceed a single goal.

26/04 - Junior Presentations Evenings were a great success. This years Junior Presentations Nights were held over the weekend and were a great success. More than 500 people attended the 2 nights to celebrate the season. Our thanks to all those that have contributed towards both the success of the season and helping to make the Presentation Nights happen.

23/04 - Honours even at Priory Park between top two sides. Ivybridge had to settle with a share of the points tonight at Priory Park as they drew their top of the table clash with Bodmin, 1-1. Ben Anniss was on the score sheet for Ivybridge with a superb left foot strike. The pair will of course face each other again on 4th May in the Throgmorton League Cup Final.

22/04 - Vospers withdraw from friendly on Sat 25th. We have been notified this afternoon that Vospers are unable to play the friendly against us that we had planned for Saturday 25th.

18/04 - First Team grind out result against Launceston. Ivybridge were made to work very hard for this narrow victory at Erme Valley by a Clarets side that will feel unfortunate to have returned home empty-handed. The only goal of the game came from Joe Truelove who picked up a deflected ball to fire home from the edge of the box.

18/04 - Bodmin Town are Champions once more. Congratulations to Darren Gilbert and his squad on winning the South West Peninsula League Premier Division Title. Bodmin won the title hands down and deserve all the praise that go with this achievement.

17/04 - U8's enjoy a close encounter with Phoenix. The U8's enjoyed an excellent game against Phoenix City on Friday night in a friendly at Erme Valley. The game ended 2-nil to Phoenix, one from the penalty spot and the second was a well-worked goal from open play. Despite the scoreline, all players had an excellent game an thoroughly enjoyed it. Our thanks to Phoenix City.

10/04 - Ivybridge hit Darts for 10 in 13 goal thriller. The players were asked to put in a decent performance after last weeks dreadful display against Elburton and they did exactly that, smashing Dartmouth 10-3. Young Ross Coombes hit 4, Ryan Fice and Paul Edwards both got 2, with Ben Anniss and David Woodfield on the score sheet too. This 13 goal scoreline is the highest in the League this season.

02/03 - Summer Soccer School 2009. Our annual Summer Soccer School is back by popular demand. We will be hosting our third Soccer School in the second week of the Summer holidays from Mon 27th to Fri 31st July 2009. Going on the demands of the previous 2 years it is advisable to book early to avoid disappointment. Click here to register your interest

02/03 - Tesco Sports Vouchers start on 2nd March. The Tesco Sports and Schools Voucher scheme starts again today. We have made good use of these vouchers every year since the scheme started and will be doing so again this year. Please pass your vouchers into Paul or the respective Team Managers. 06/04 - Reserves beat Morley in bottom of the table clash. The Ivybridge reserves hit Morley Rangers for 6 in a 7-goal game at Erme Valley on Thursday evening. McCreery and Nobrega both got a brace and Thomas and Crook also made it on to the scoresheet.

06/04 - First team face Dartmouth in Easter Friday game. The First Team will be looking forward to putting their dour performance against Elburton on Saturday behind them as they face Dartmouth at home this Friday in their Easter weekend game. The game will have a 11am KO and we look forward to your support.

01/04 - Bodmin confirmed as opponents in the Cup Final. Bodmin will be our opposition in the Throgmorton League Cup Final on 4th May as they won the second semi-final last night, beating Penryn 3-1. The Final will therefore be played at Saltash's Kimberley Stadium with a 3:00pm KO.

04/04 - First team put on a poor performance against Villa. The only positive that could taken from this afternoon's performance, was the 3 points. Villa should have been 3-0 up at half-time had it not been for some poor form in from on goal and a penalty save from Dave Painter. The Ivies got into the game via Ross Coombes and scored 2 further goals via a Martyn Sullivan penalty and a solo effort from Ryan Fice. Villa pulled 2 goals back thanks to some slack defending in the final few minutes.

31/03 - Cup jinx haunts Parkway again. Ivybridge secured their place in the Final of the Throgmorton Cup for the third time in the Club's history last night after a comprehensive victory over Plymouth Parkway. Ivybridge dominated the game from the first whistle and were thoroughly deserved winners. The final will be played on Monday 4th May with the opposition and both being decided tonight after the result of the other semi-final. Congratulations to the players and management.

31/03 - First Team in Cup action tonight. Ivybridge face Plymouth Parkway this evening in the semi-final of the Throgmorton League Cup. The game will be played at Liskeard's Lux Park, and will have a 7:30pm KO. We look forward to your support.

31/03 - U14's game cancelled this Saturday. Ivybridge have 4 players involved in the Plymouth Schools trip to the Isle of Wight. As a result of this, we are down to less than 11 players available for the game. It has now been rescheduled for Thurs 16th April at Jennycliff with a 6:15pm KO.

28/03 - Ivybridge share the spoils with Bodmin. Ivybridge's top of the table clash with Bodmin ended 1-all and was watched by a decent sized crowd at Erme Valley. Bodmin took the lead via Karl Turner in the 65th minute. Ivybridge equalised 10 minutes later when Ben Smallridge finished a fine solo effort.

23/03 - DJM Fixture Updates - U13's & U14's affected. The DJM League Fixtures Secretary has made some amendments to the Under 13's and Under 14's fixtures. Please check the respective pages for note of the changes.

21/03 - First Team come from behind to beat Newton Spurs. The First team found themselves 1-0 down at the interval on Saturday and had to work hard to get something from the game. They maintained second place in the table with a hard-fought victory over a spirited Newton Spurs outfit with two second half goals; Lance bailey converting from the penalty spot and Martyn Sullivan neatly finishing 15 minutes from time.

21/03 - Under 14's get the result of the day with 6-0 win. The Under 14's got the result of the day for Ivybridge Juniors with comprehensive 6-0 win over Saltash. The influential Sam Meads had an excellent game and added to his season's tally with a further 2 goals. The other 4 goals came from Liam Anbany (2), Sam Hunt and Joe Moore.

21/03 - Junior round-up. All in all, it was an excellent day for Ivybridge Juniors today. The U9's Lynher beat Elm United 8-2, with Nathan Cole on form to score 4. U9's Tavy were very unlucky to lose their game against Mayflower 1-0. U11's put on a magnificent display in their top of the table clash against Keyham Kolts, winning 3-1; Luke Foward (2) and Oliver Tyers got the goals. U12's got back to winning ways with a 4-0 win over local rivals, Manstow; Thomas Taylor (2), Matt Buckley and Alex King got the goals. U13's had a game of 2-halves against league leaders Activiate, losing the game 5-3 despite a second half come-back. U15's lost 4-0 against League Leaders Saltash. U16's lost their game, 2-1, against Torpoint and did so without their usual keeper.

21/03 - Reserves lose out to Robourough. Reserves Manager, Mike Crook, was forced to play one of his strikers in goal for this Intermediate clash with Roborough and lost the game 3-1. Scott Parker got the only goal for Ivybridge. Ivybridge now look forward to putting this right in their Cup Final game aginst Robourough in May.

17/03 - Ivybridge through to Semi-Final of League Cup. Ivybridge came from a goal behind to beat Saltash 2-1 this evening, taking them through to a semi-final clash against Plymouth Parkway. Ivybridge's strong performance was watched by a big crowd at Kimberley stadium which saw Martyn Sullivan get sent off, a bullet header from Joe Truelove and another from Ryan Fice. The semi-final will be played on Tuesday 31st March at Lux Park, 7:30pm KO.

15/03 - Under 8's win one and draw against AFC Plympton. The Under 8's were in action this morning at Erme Valley in a double-header against AFC Plympton. They won the first game 2-0 with goals from Sam Lord and Harvey Tomlinson, and drew the second goal 1-1 with Harry Mather scoring an absolute blinder from 20 yards. Well done boys.

15/03 - Under 9's lose 11 goal thriller against Elite DC. The Ivybridge Under 9's were invited to play a friendly against Elite DC at HMS Raleigh this morning and were unfortunate to lose the 11-goal thriller by 5 goals to 6. Well done to all of those boys that took part.

15/03 - Updated DJM fixtures have been released. Please check the Juniors fixtures for your team as a number of the remaining fixtures have changed especially over Easter given a number of cancellations.

15/03 - Junior Training returns to Erme Valley. The majority of the Juniors teams will be returning to Erme Valley for their training sessions starting this week, w/c 16th March. Please check with the the team Manager or Paul if you have any queries.

14/03 - Ivybridge beat Torpoint to secure second place. Three goals and three points moved Ivybridge into second place in the South Peninsula League Premier Division this afternoon. The goals came from Ryan Fice, Ben Smallridge and Martyn Sullivan.

14/03 - Ivybridge in the Active Alarms Challenge Bowl Final. Ivybridge recieved a ticket to the final of the Active Alarms Challenge Bowl this week after news came from the League that the University of Plymouth had been eliminated from the competition after a breach of competition rules. Ivybridge will now contest the final against Roborough.

04/03 - Tiverton game arranged for Weds 11th March. Our St Lukes Cup Quarter-Final against Tiverton Town has now been arranged for Wednesday 11th March. The game will be played at Tivvy's Ladysmead ground and will have a 7:45pm KO.

03/03 - Bailey gets some excellent news. Influential Ivybridge defender Lance Bailey had some excellent news today when he got confirmation that his broken ankle is not actually broken! Great news for both Lance and the team. We hope to see Lance back in training in a couple of weeks and look forward to his return to the squad.

01/03 - Under 13's got result of the day for Juniors. The U13's put on a fine display against local rivals Elburton Villa to come away with a 6-4 win. Goals came thanks to a hat-trick from Billy Rowell, a brace from Andrew Hunter and a solo effort from Daniel Esson. Elsewhere the U9's drew 3-3 against AFC Plympton with a hat-trick from Charlie Teague and lost 3-1 against Plymouth Kolts with Harry Bell on the scoresheet. The U10's beat Railway Beacon 4-2 will a brace from Jack Porritt and goals from Jack Sayers and Aaron Chadwick. The U11's beat Pheonix City 2-1 with goals from Luke Forward and Daniel Burnley. The U12's lost 5-2 to Keyham with goals from Dan Alford and Matt Buckley. The U14's lost 1-0 to Plymstock United. The U15's lost heavily to Plymstock. The U16's beat AFC Southway 4-1 with two goals from Danny King and another two from Ben Towl and Matt Havron.

01/03 - Under 8's win double-header against Woolwell. The Under 8's were in action for only the second time on Saturday and faced Woolwell in a double-header at Erme Valley, winning both games. The boys had a great time and look forward to playing again next week against Tamarside.

01/03 - Reserves lose to Chard United. The Reserves lost at the hands of CHard United on Saturday in a game that proved to be very physical. Chard scored both of their goals from set pieces and secured 3 points that took them into 3rd spot in the PWDCFL Intermediate Division.

01/03 - Truelove thunderbolt secures 3 points for First Team. The First team came away 2-1 winners in their home League clash against Cullompton on Saturday thanks to a thunderbolt from Joe Truelove inm the last minute of the game. The equaliser came courtesy of Martyn Sullivan. This win keeps Ivybridge in 3rd spot in the League.

25/02 - First team to face Tiverton in St Lukes Cup QF. The First Team beat Bideford 3-2 after extra time tonight in the St Lukes Cup at Langsford Park. We have been drawn a home-tie against Tiverton Town which we will be looking to switch to Ladysmead. The goals came via Joe Davey, Joe Truelove and Shane Powell.

13/02 - Tornado takes Under 12's training. The U12's were put through a gruelling fitness session on Monday night by Tornado from the hit TV show Gladiators. Thanks to Andy Buckley who arranged this, the boys had an excellent night. Click here to see the photos.

13/02 - Under 8's play first ever game. The new Ivybridge Under 8's teams played their first ever game on Saturday when they played a friendly against Saltash Youth. In the two games played, Ivybridge won the first 3-0 and lost the second game 2-0. The children had a fantastic time and look forward to many more games to come.

02/02 - St Lukes Bowl game against Bideford - Postponed. Tomorrow night's St Lukes Bowl game against Bideford at Tavistock's Langsford Park has been postponed due to a frozen pitch. We await confirmation from Devon FA with regards to the revised date.

05/01 - Reminder regarding changes to Junior training sessions. As per the communications that went out previously, due to the redevelopment of the all-weather pitches at Ivybridge Community College, the Junior teams have had to have a number of changes made to their training sessions. The full details can be found opposite on the Club Noticeboard. All enquiries should be directed to the respective team managers.

03/01 - First team back to winning ways with victory at the Rec. In bitter conditions, the First Team got 2009 off to a good start with a solid performance and 3 points against Newton Abbot Spurs at the Rec. The goals came courtesy of a belter from Captain Justin Crowley and the second from Joe Truelove.

25/12 - Ivies face Darts in Boxing Day clash. The First Team players will have a chance to run off their Christmas Dinner tomorrow with an 11am kick-off against Dartmouth at Longcross. Ivybridge take a full strength squad to Longcross and will be hoping to follow on from their recent 4-2 win against them in the Throgmorton Cup.

25/12 - U13's and U16's go top of the League for Christmas. The Ivybridge Town Under 13's and Under 16's are both top of their respective Leagues for Christmas after gaining a further 3 points on Saturday. Well done to all concerned.

10/12 - Ivybridge beat Darts and progress to Cup Quarter-Finals. Ivybridge were in Throgmorton Cup action this evening at Longcross, and progressed through to the quarter-finals after beating Dartmouth 4-2. The goals came courtesy of a brace from the in-form Ross Coombes, Ryan Fice and Joe Truelove. Ivybridge will now play away to the winners of Wadebridge v Saltash Utd.

07/12 - Bideford game to be played at Langsford Park. Our second round St Lukes Bowl game against Bideford will be played at Langsford Park. Our thanks to Derek Pethick and the Tavistock Committee for allowing us to use the facilties at Langsford Park. The date and KO time for this game will be confirmed in the coming days.

06/12 - First team get back to winning ways against Witheridge. The First Team bounced back from their 1-0 defeat against Falmouth on Saturday with a 3-1 win over Witheridge. The goals came courtesy of Ben Smallridge, Ryan Fice and Ross Coombes. We now look agead to Wednesday's Throgmorton Cup game against Dartmouth on Wednesday night.

06/12 - Only 2 Junior teams in action, and both win. The inclement weather meant that only 8 games were played in the whole of the DJM League, two of which involved Ivybridge Teams. The Under 11's were at home to Lipson United and won 5-2. Goals came courtesy of a brace from Tom Welsh and single efforts from Luke Forward, Jay Barnard and Tom Allen. The U13's were at home to AFC Plympton and won 7-3. Billy Rowell took his season's tally to 38 after bagging another 5 and Luke Hill and Russell Jones also got on the score sheet.

04/12 - Late penalty costs Ivybridge against the Ambers. Ivybridge can consider themselves very unlucky not to have taken anything away from last night's game, and lost out thanks to a late penalty awarded by the Referee under controversy. This Saturday's game against Witheridge is now a must win in order to keep the team's hopes alive.

03/12/08 - Junior Christmas Party @ Tenpin. Many of the Ivybridge Junior Teams will be having their Christmas Party at Tenpin. The Mini Ivies, U9's and U11's will be bowling on Weds 10th Dec and the U12's, U13's, U14's and U15's will be bowling on Thurs 18th Dec.
 
03/12/08 - Junior Christmas Party @ Plymouth Raiders. The U12's will be having their Christmas Party at Plymouth Raiders, having been bowling for the previous two years. This will take place on Sunday 14th December with the Airwaves Plymouth Raiders facing London Capital.

03/12 - First Team only manage a draw at Bodieve Park. The First team could only bring 1 point back from Cornwall today after having had a 2-2 draw against Wadebridge. The goals for Ivybridge came via Jamie Middleton and an own goal

27/11 - First Team through to 2nd Round of St Lukes Bowl. The First team beat Tavistock last night, 4-2, to proceed to the second round of the St Lukes Bowl. Ryan Fice and Ross Coombes both got a brace. Ivybridge will face Bideford in the next round and have been given a home draw. Due to the lack of floodlights at Erme Valley, we are currently seeking a venue for the game. More news to follow.

23/11/08 - U16's get knocked out of the Devon County Cup. The U16's played their second game in 24 hours yesterday, facing Torbay Youth in the second round of the U16 Devon Cup. Torbay won the game 4-2. The scorers for Ivybridge were King and Mortimore.

22/11/08 - First Team bounce back with 5-1 win over Liskeard. The First Team bounced back from their embarrasing 6-0 drubbing at the hands of Plymouth Parkway, with a comprehensive 5-1 victory over Liskeard Athletic. Player Manager, James Lynch, included himself in the starting eleven and proved he's stil "got it". Ryan Fice got back on the scoresheet after nearly 2 months without a goal, bagging 4 of the 5. The other goal came from Jamie Middleton.

31/08/08 - Wrigleys recognise Under 14's special achievement. The Wrigleys Company, sponsors of the DJM League, have recognised the special effort and character shown by last season's Ivybridge Under 14's side. The team won the League Fair Play Award for 2007/08 and after hearing about the teams trials and tribulations wanted to reward them. The Team will be Wrigleys special guests at the Argyle v Charlton game on 8th November, watching the game from the Directors Box. It is fantastic that Wrigleys and the League have recognised the boys who thoroughly deserve this reward, along with Manager, Paul Hayes. Congratulations to all concerned.

22/11 - U13's get the result f the day with big win over Elm United. The U13's got the result of the day with a 14-2 victory over Elm United. No fewer than 7 of the team getting on the scoresheet. Elsewhere, the U9's and U10's enjoyed a competitive game amongst themselves, won 4-0 by the U10's. The U12's regretted the rearranged early KO, losing 3-0 to Looe. The U14's drew 0-0 in a close encounter against Plymouth Kolts. The U15's lost 7-0 against Looe and the U16's drew 3-3 against Railway Beacon.

16/11 - U14's through to Devon Cup Quarter-Finals. The U14's beat Bovey Tracey 3-0 on Sunday to progress through to the Quarter-Finals of the U14 Devon Cup. Ivybridge will now face AFC Plympton, who also progressed after a 2-1 win over Watts Blake & Bearne. The game is scheduled to be played at Erme Valley on 25th January 2009. Congratulations to Gerry and the Lads.

15/11 - First team drop to 4th after being hit for six by Parkway. They must be our bogey side! Plymouth Parkway thumped Ivybridge 6-nil at Erme Valley on Saturday, a result that will have surprised many. With wins for Bodmin on Friday night and Dartmouth on Saturday, Ivybridge dropped to 4th place in the League.

15/11 - Good day for the Junior Teams. The U12's won 3-1 against Hoe Rovers with a brace from Matt Buckley and one from Thomas Taylor. The U13's lost a close encounter with Tamarside Kings, going down 3-2. The U14's beat Plymstock United 4-1, with two goals from Dominic Lapthorn and two from Liam Anbany. The U15's lost 4-1 to Efford Youth, with Ben Mashford on the scoresheet. The U16's continued their good run, winning 4-2 against Torpoint, with Ben Meads, Danny King and Tom Spencer on the scoresheet,

13/11 - St Lukes Westinsure Cup game arranged. The outstanding St Lukes Westinsure Cup game against Tavistock Town has now been arranged. The game will be played on Wednesday 16th November, with a 7:30pm KO.
 
09/11 - U13's crash out of the Cup at the hands of Tivvy. Ivybridge Town U13's exited the Tesco Cup courtesy of a 9-0 nil defeat away against the talented Tiverton Youth Development side. Despite the scoreline, the boys had a great day and were made to feel most welcome at Tivvy's Ladysmead ground and were fortune to play the game on the first team pitch. We wish Tivvy all the best in the next round.

09/11 - First Team and U15's fixture amendments. The First team have been given a game on 10th Jan against Holsworthy and there have been a couple of changes to the U15's fixtures. Check the respective pages for the details.

08/11 - Sully hat-trick secures victory over Clarets. Martyn Sullivan was in top form today, firing home a hat-trick in the First Team's 3-1 win over Launceston. News followed that Buckland lost 3-0 to Bodmin, taking Ivybridge to 1 point behind Buckland with a game in hand. Ivybridge now turn their attention to next Saturday's local derby against Plymouth Parkway where they will be keen to put the record straight, and their performance the last time the two sides met behind them.

08/11 - Wet weather meant that only the U16's were in Cup action. The Ivybridge U12's, U14's and U16's were all due to be playing in their League Cup Semi-Finals today, but due to the inclement weather only the U16's got to play. They are probably wishing they had not played either after losing 4-0 to Plymstock United. The U12's and U14's semi's will be rescheduled in due course.

08/11 - U11's get the only Junior win of the day. The U11's were one of the few teams across the city to play today, and the only Junior team at the Club to be in League action. They beat Tavistock Town 3-1, courtesy of goals from Jay Barnard, Dan Burnley and a cracking own goal. Elsewhere the U9's lost both of their games, as did the U10's.

03/11 - Three additional qualified coaches for Juniors. An additional three of the Junior Coaches/Managers successfully passed their Level 1 FA Coaching Badge on Sunday having completed the 2 week course. Kevin Teague and Nathan Wilcock from the Under 9's and Paul Hayes from the Under 15's all passed, and as part of this qualification have completed their Emergency First Aid Certificate, Child Protection workshop and Laws of the Game exam.

02/11 - First team make hard work of Blazey victory. Ivybridge maintained the pressure on League leaders, Buckand Athletic, on Saturday by securing another 3 points in their home game against St Blazey. Ivybridge did make hard work of this in the final 40 minutes and after a 3-nil lead, conceeded 2 goals in 3 minutes. It could easily have been a draw had it not been for some superb saves from Ivybridge 'keeper and man of the match. Dave Painter. The goals came from Joe Truelove, Jamie Middleton and Martyn Sullivan.

01/11 - Full house for the 11-a-side Junior teams. Despite the U9's and U10's losing 3-0 to Saltash and 2-3 to Looe Town, it was an excellent day for the Juniors teams today. The U11's returned from a week's rest to beat Chaddlewood 6-2, the U12's fought off tough opposition to beat Tamerton 2-0, the U13's were in fine form to beat Plymouth YMCA 4-0 and the U14's continued their good run against Saltash Youth, winning 5-1.

30/10 - U9 (Lynher), U10 (Sheeps Tor) and U16's off sa far. The U9's Lynher, the U10's Sheeps Tor game against Activate is postponed for tomorrow as Eggbuckland is out iof bounds. In addition, the Erme Valley 'B' pitch is out of bounds which means that the U16 game against Chaddlewood is off. More news to follow as we get it.

29/10 - Fixture amendments for Under 11's, 12's & U13's. There have been fixture additions on Saturday 8th November for the Under 11's, Under 12's and Under 13's. Please check the respective fixture pages for these updates.

29/10 - Devon Cup fixture confirmations for U13's, U14's & U16's. The Ivybridge Under 13's, Under 14's and Under 16's are all involved in the next round of the Devon County Cup on Sunday 9th November. The venue and KO times for these fixtures have now been confirmed and the respective fixture pages have been updated.

29/10 - Change of venue for Reserves Game on Saturday. Due to the vandalism that has occured in recent days at some of the Plymouth City Council's changing rooms, there has had to be a change of venue for this Saturday's game against Ham Green Rovers. This game will now be played at Staddy 8.

25/10 - First Team grind out 1-0 win over Wadebridge. Whilst not a great performance by Ivybridge, the Management were please with the wokmanlike attitide the team adopted to grind out this win, and the important 3 points, against a strong Wadebridge team. Joe Truelove scored a thunderbolt after 14 minutes which will go down as one of the best goals to be seen at Erme Valley! The goal, along with another excellent performance, earnt him the Man of the match Award. Well Done Joe.

25/10 - Under 14's get results of the day for Juniors. It was not a good day for the Juniors today, with only 3 of the 7 teams in action winning. The Under 9's lost against YMCA Kitto Parkway and the Tavy team drew 4-4 against Tavistock, the Under 10's beat AFC Southway 2-0, the Under 12's lost 5-1 against YMCA Kitto Parkway, the Under 13's lost 4-2 to Southgate Colts, the Under 14's beat Tavistock 6-2 and the Under 15's lost the local derby against Manstow, 4-1.

25/10 - It's Dartmouth in the next round of the Throgmorton. The draw for the 3rd round of the Throgmorton Cup was made on Sat 18th Oct, and we were drawn away against Dartmouth in what is set to be an excellent game between two good sides. The game will be played on Wednesday 10th Decemeber with a 7:30pm KO

25/10 - Under 15's start SDS Coaching on Monday. The Under 15's will be starting their 5-week SDS Coaching thanks to the support of the DJM League.

23/10 - Plymouth City Council Pitches Out of Bounds. All of the Plymouth City Council football pitches have been put 'out of bounds' for this weekend which includes all mini soccer pitches at Collings Park, Staddiscombe, Manadon FDC plus Manadon Vale pitches.

14/10 - Bridgers back to form and through to 3rd round. After being absolutely gutted with their performance against Parkway last Saturday, Ivybridge bounced back in style at Homers Heath to beat Buckland 2-0 and progress through to the 3rd Round of the Throgmorton League Cup. Joe Truelove scored after just 30 seconds and the impressive Ben Anniss scored the Bridgers second of the evening. The draw for the 3rd round will be made on Saturday 18th October.

13/10 - Bridgers face Buckland in Thorgmorton Cup. Ivybridge will be making their second visit to Homers Heath in 7 days as they face Buckland Athletic in the second round of the Thorgmorton Cup. Ivybridge will be fired up for this game, keen to put Saturday's terrible performance behind them and progress through to 3rd Round of the Thorgmorton Cup.

13/10 - U12's DJM Rep Squad Trials. The Under 12's DJM Representative Team Trials are being held this Sunday, 19th October, at Frankfort Park. The trails will start at 10am, but all Players are asked to arrived for 9:15am so that a briefing can be given before the trials start. Good luck to the Ivybridge players that have been put forward.

11/10 - Three Junior Teams through to Cup Semi-Finals. Three of our Junior teams today progressed through to the semi-finals of their respective League Cup. The U12's beat Lipson 11-0 and will now face Callington, the U14's beat Manstow 8-1 and will now face Weston Mill and the U16's beat Torpoint 6-4 and will now face Plymstock. Congratulations to all concerned and good luck to all 3 teams in the semi's.

12/10 - U13's beat Railway Beacon and progress in Tesco Cup. The Under 13's were involved in an excellent game this morning which finally ended with Ivybridge winning 6-5. We will now face Tiverton Town Youth in the second round, to be played on Sunday 9th November. The KO time and venue for the game are to be confirmed.

11/10 - Bridgers lose to Parkway after woeful performance. Ivybridge were simply not at the races today and put on arguably their worst performance of the season as they shipped 3 goals and 3 points at Bolitho Park. The Management were left scratching their heads and will turn their immediate attention to the important Cup game against Buckland on Tuesday.

11/10 - Reserves keeper with suspected leg fracture. Our thoughts and best wishes are with Reserve Keeper, Tom Scott-Bell, as he had to be strectured off in their 3-1 Cup defeat against Chard United and taken to Derriford with a suspected fractured leg. We await further news.

11/10 - U12's get the result of the day for Juniors. It was a good set of results for the Juniors today. The U9's teams won one and lost one, the U11's beat Toproint 3-0, the U12's put 11 past Lipson United, the U14's won the local derby against Manstow beating them 8-1, the U15's lost 6-1 to Saltash and the U16's beat Torpoint 6-4.

11/10 - Junior Training returns to Ivybridge Community College. The Winter Training for Ivybridge Town Juniors starts on Monday as we return to Ivybridge Community College. 10/10 - Clyst Rovers game has been cancelled. The scheduled South West Peninsula League Premier Division game between Clyst Rovers and Ivybridge Town on Saturday 18th October has been cancelled. This is due a floodlight failure at Weterslade Park in the week, meaning that Clyst's game against the Royal Marines was postponed until 18th. The First team will therefore not be in action next Saturday.

07/10 - Homers Heath haunts the Bridgers once more. Ivybridge were left feeling bitterly disappointed having to take only 1 point away from tonight's League fixture at Homers Heath, having taken the lead on 3 occasions. Buckland were awarded a contraversial free-kick in stoppage time to snatch the victory from the bridgers grasp, forcing the draw. Bridgers goals came from Ben Smallridge, Richard Hammett and Joe Truelove.

07/10 - SK Plymouth become AC Plymouth. SK Plymouth are no longer members of the DJM League, and with a revised Committee, have changed their name to AC Plymouth. With immediate effect, AC Plymouth will take-over the former SK Plymouth fixtures.

29/09 - U14's selected for the DJM Representative Squad. Ivybriddge Town put forward 6 players for the U14's DJM Representative Team Trials on Sunday and we've just had the good news that 3 of them have made the final squad. Our congratulations to Liam Anbany, Sam Meads and Charlie Penwill. Well done lads.

24/09 - U10's receive sponsorship from H.Haulage. The Under 10's have received generous support from H.Haulage who has provided the whole squad with brand new rain jackets. Our thanks to H.Haulage for their kind and generous support.

01/10 - U14's and U16's Devon County Cup fixtures announced. The draw for the U14's and U16's Devon County Cup have been made. The Ivybridge U14's will play either Keyham or Bovey Tracey on Sun 9th November and the U16's will face Torbay Youth on Sun 9th November. Both ties are away and the venue information will be notified as soon as it is published.

04/10 - First team go top after Newton Abbot win. The First Team returned to the top of the Premier Division today after a comprehensive 4-1 win over Newton Abbot. 3 of the games goals came in a bust first 13 minutes, with Sullivan and Middleton scoring for ivybridge and Tom Comyn scoring for Newton Abbot. The final 2 goals came in the second half courtesy of Jamie Middleton and Ryan Fice. Click here to read the match report.

29/09 - First Team fixture amendments: 14th and 18th Oct. We now have fixture amendments for the 14th and 18th October. On 14th Oct we will be playing Buckland in the Throgmorton Cup and on 18th Oct we have a rearranged game away against Clyst Rovers.

27/09 - First Team coast into the 2nd round of Cup. The Ivybridge First team brought their League form to bear in the Throgmorton Cup today and despite a less lack-lustre performance, beat Newton Abbout Spurs 3-1. Ryan Fice scored 2 of the goals, one of which was from the penalty spot and joe Truelove got the third. We now face Buckland Athletic in the second round, to be played on Tues 14th Oct. Somehow, Ben Smallridge got man of the match!!

27/09 - Good day for Ivybridge Juniors. 10 of the Junior teams were in action today and 6 of them came away with something from the game, 4 with wins, 2 with draws. The U9's in the Lynher Division got the result of the day with their 9-2 win over Elm United, with 5 of the gooals courtesy of Nathan Cole. The U10's in the Sheeps Tor Division got their first win of the season, beating Morley 2-0. Elsewhere, the U11's continued their fine start to the season with a 8-4 victory against Tamarside Kings. The U12's drew 3-3 against Tavistock. The U13's got their forst 3 points of the season with an excellent victory against Looe Town. The U16's drew 4-4 with SB Frankfort to stay top of the League.

20/09 - Bridgers beat Torpoint and go the top of the league. Ivybridge Town returned to the top of the Premier Division this afternoon thanks to the 3 points they secured at the Milbeating Torpoint 3-2. Ivybridge ground out this result, twice coming from behind and showed excellent character and fighting spirit. The Bridgers goals came from Ben Smallridge, Ryan Fice and Jamie Middleton.

20/09/08 - First Team fixture amendment : Sat 4th Oct. The First team will now be playing Newton Abbot in the League on Saturday 4th October and not Launceston as previously advertised because of their FA Vase game. This game has been brought forward from 14th March and will have a 3:00pm KO.

14/09/08 - Under 13's have a great day at Recon Paintball. The U13's had an excellent team day out today at Recon Paintball and had a great day, which ended in a warfare scenario in the "village" where it was Kids v Adults, resulting in the Adults having to surrender the village having run out of paint!

13/09/08 - First team continue good run against Holsworthy. The First team secured another 3 points at Erme Valley today to keep them in second place, one point behind Buckland with a game in hand, beating Holsworthy 5-1. The Bridgers goals came via a brace from both Jamie Middleton and Ross Coombes and the fifth from defender Steve Hatfield. Man of the Match was team Captain, Justin Crowley who's work rate was superb throughout.

13/09/08 - Reserves beat Staddy to progress in the Cup. The Ivybridge Reserves progressed through to the next round of the DCFA Baileys Restaurant Intermediate Cup after beating Staddiscombe 4-1. The Bridgers goals came courtesy of McCreery, Nobrega, Pavey and Hayden. Well done lads.

13/09/08 - A good day of results for Ivybridge Juniors. All 10 of the Ivybridge Junior Teams who play in the DJM League were in action today and most won. The result of the day went to the Under 11's who have got their season off to a flying start, having won 3-2 on Thursday, they secured another 3 points today with a 10-0 away win against Torpoint. Congratulations to Russell and the team.

10/09/08 - Lee Moor Rangers withdraw from U11 Ajax Division. News was received today from the DJM League that Lee Moor Rangers have had to withdraw from the U11 Ajax Division. This means that the scheduled League fixture between Ivybridge and Lee Moor next Thursday has been cancelled.

09/09/08 - U12's game against Keyham has been postponed. Plymouth City Council has put it's pitches out of bounds for all of the DJM'd midweek fixtures. This means that Keyham's pitch at North Down is unavailable for the scheduled League fixture on Thursday evening. The game has therefore been cancelled and will be rescheduled in due course.

06/09/08 - First Team hit Clyst for six to go top of the League. Ivybridge Town put on a superb performance at Erme Valley today, beating Clyst Rovers 6-2. Ryan Fice was on form to secure his second hat-trick of the season. The other three goals came from Martyn Sullivan, Jason Benyon and David Woodlfield. These three points secured Ivybridge's place at the top of the Peninsula League Premier Division. Today's Man of the Match was Martyn Sullivan.

05/09/08 - Rain ruins opening day of the season for many. The shocking weather has meant that many of our Junior teams will have to wait to get their season started. The U9's game against AFC Plympton is off, as are the U10's, U11's, U13's, U14's and U16's games. There are pitch inspections scheduled for 8:30am at Ermington and Erme Valley. Mini Ivies is also still on tomorrow.

30/08/08 - First Team back to winning ways at Lux Park. The Ivybridge First team put last Saturday's defeat behind them and got their campaign back on track with a 3-1 win over a young Liskeard Team at Lux Park. Although not a great game, the Bridgers got what they came for with a brace from Joe Truelove and one from Jamie Middleton on his return to the side.

27/08/08 - Under 13's season off to a good start. The Ivybridge Town Under 13's started their pre-season campaign in anger tonight, winning their first game 8-4 against Plymouth YMCA. Carlin Sibley was the man of the match after bagging a hat trick. The team will be in action again on Saturday against Lipson United.

27/08/08 - Under 14's in seventh heaven against Activate. The Ivybridge Town Under 14's were also in action tonight in a pre-season friendly against Activate. Ivybridge were in good form and won the game 7-0 with new player Joe Gilpin looking particularly impressive.

26/08/08 - Reserves just lose out to Students in 16-goal thriller. The Ivybridge Reserves played their second game of the season this evening, facing the University of Plymouth. Ivybridge can consider themselves unlucky not to have secured at least a point from this 16 goal thriller, eventually won 9-7 by the Students. Ivybridge's Brazilian winger, Thiers Nobrega blotted his copy book by receiving a red card late in the game having had a great game and scoring a hattrick.

20/08/08 - Ivybridge drub Villa and cruise into 2nd spot. The First Team team cruised into second spot of the South West Peninsula League Premier Division this evening after a second half 5-0 drubbing of local rivals Elburton Villa. Man of the Match, Ryan Fice was on fire and notched a hattrick, with the other two goals coming from Martyn Sullivan and Joe Truelove.

19/08/08 - First Team looking forward to facing local rivals Villa. The First Team Management are very much looking forward to playing local rivals Elburton Villa tomorrow night at Erme Valley. Ivybridge will field a strong squad for the match and can welcome back Shaun 'squealer' Hulbert from holiday. With a defeat in their only game of the campaign so far, Elburton Villa will be looking to get their season off the blocks and we can expect a tough encounter.

13/08/08 - New Manager required for Under 14's. Following the birth of his Son, Wayne Griffiths has decided to resign as Manager of the Ivybridge Town Under 14's. He has kindly agreed to continue to run the team until a successor can be found which we thank him for. We are therefore looking for a New Manager to run the team next season, and have a talented squad already in place which has been strengthened during the close season. 12/08/08 - Ivybridge Juniors at Wembley. The Under 9's had the time of their lives on Monday at the McDonalds National Festival at Wembley Stadium. The team were invited to attend this prestigious event after winning the Devon FA Fair Play Award, a massive achievement in itself given the size of Devon and the number of Junior teams. The team had an amazing day, got to play on the pitch at Wembley and met special guests Geoff Hurst and England Manager, Fabio Capello.

13/08/08 - Bumper crowd watch the Bridgers beat Saltash. Over 200 people watched Ivybridge get their 2008/09 campaign off to a great start with a comprehensive win over Saltash, although the scoreline does not reflect this. Ivybridge dominated the game and were worthy winners with strong performances in every position and excellent goals from Ben Smallridge and a brace from Man of the Match Joe Truelove. 13/08/08 - First Team kick off their 2008/09 campaign tonight. The all new look Ivybridge Town First Team will get their season underway tonight when they face Saltash United at Erme Valley, 6:30pm KO. It is set to be a great game with many keeping a watchful eye over the new Ivybridge side that has huge potential to do very well this season.

12/08/08 - Mini Ivies starts again on Saturday 16th Aug. Back by poipular demand after a brief Summer break, the Mini Ivies Coaching sessions will restart again this Saturday. The training sessions will be held at Erme Valley, not Rutt Fields, from 9am to 10am.

12/08/08 - Ivybridge Reserves in action for the first time. The newly formed Ivybridge Town Reserves will kick-off their 2008/09 campaign on Saturday in the Plymouth & West Devon Combination Football League Intermediate Division against Chaddlewood Miners at Erme Valley.
 
13/0/087 - Under 10's secure runners-up at Marjons Tournament. The Ivybridge Under 10's had a great day at the Marjons Tournament, securing runner's-up spot for the whole age group and were considered very unlucky to have lost in the Final. Well done boys.

05/07/08 - Martyn Sullivan joins Bridgers. The Ivybridge First Team Management have made another excellent signing today to secure the services of Martyn Sullivan for next season. Lynch & Howard were delighted to welcome Sullivan to Ivybridge and are very much looking forward to starting the 2008/09 campaign.

25/06/08 - First Team start grueling pre-season training. The Ivybridge First Team reported back for pre-season training this week and will face as grueling schedule ahead of what they hope to be a successful season in the Premier Division. This will involve two sessions a week, one of which will be at Scott Dann's Gym in Plymouth where they will be put through their paces and will face personal fitness tests.

17/06/08 - Tim Bowden appointed as Club Vice-Chairman. We are delighted to have appointed Tim Bowden as the Club's Vice-Chairman. Tim has a son at the Club in the Under 8's and is very keen to get involved and drive forward the Club's ambitions for the future. We welcome Tim onboard and look forward to working with him.

15/06/08 - Under 13's have an excellent day courtesy of Hotsprings. As part of the superb sponsorship from Hotspring Hot Tubs and Swim Spas, the Under 13's had an excellent day today at Endsleigh taking part in a sponsored swim in the Exercise pool. We would like to thank Glen, Nick and Staff for an excellent day and thank Hotspring once again for their generous support.

14/06/08 - Juniors have a great night at Pavilions. Ivybridge Town Juniors were represented on a number of fronts on Saturday night at the DJM Annual Presentation Evening at Plymouth Pavilions. Billy Rowell (U12's). Jordan Critchley (U14's) and the Under 14's team all won special awards. In addition, the Under 14's were surprised when they found out that they had also won the Wrigleys DJM Fair Play Award for the whole of the League. Congratulations to everyone involved.

13/06/08 - First Team draw Newton Spurs in Throgmorton Cup. Ivybridge Town have been drawn against Newton Abbot Spurs in the First Round of the Throgmorton Cup. If successful, we will face either Totnes & Dartington or Buckland in the second round. Click here to view the full draw.

12/06/08 - First Team Coaching Duo announced. We are delighted to announced the appointment of Ben Smith and Steve Legge as the First Team Coaches for the 2008/09 campaign. Smith has been with Ivybridge for many seasons as a player and had a temporary spell as Coach last season. Legge joins Ivybridge with a strong background as a player and a growing reputation as Coach.

The new First Team Management Team have been very busy over the past few weeks and are delighted with the squad that they have built for the 2008/09 campaign. 11/06/08 - Ivybridge Town Juniors awarded at Pavilions. Ivybridge Town Juniors have won 4 separate awards at the DJM Annual Presentations Awards at Plymouth Pavilions. Billy Rowell got the most number of "man of the match" awards for the U12's age group, Jordan Critchley got the most "man of the match" awards for U14's age group, and both the Under 14's and Under 18's won the DJM Fair Play Award for their respective age groups. Congratulations to all of those concerned and well done on behalf of everyone at Ivybridge Town JFC.

10/06/08 - Ivybridge enter the P&D League for 2008/09. Ivybridge Town got confirmation last night that we will have a team in the Intermiate Division of the Plymouth and West Devon Combination Football League. The side will be made up of most of the Under 18 squad from last season and will be managed by Mike Crook. The introduction of a formal reserve team is the latest step in the Club's development plan and received a very warm welcome from the new First Team Management.

04/05/08 - Ivybridge have a great day in Newquay. The Ivybridge Under 8's and Under 9's had an excellent day at the Cornwall FA's Charter Standard Festival of Football in Newquay today. Both teams did well and enjoyed playing against unfamiliar opposition.

01/05/08 - Ivies travel to Tiverton Town. A number of our players and parents will be travelling up the M5 on Sunday to take part in the Tiverton Town Youth Development Tournament. We have entered two Under 9's teams and one Under 11's.

30/04/08 - Hotsprings join forces with Ivybridge Town. The Under 14's (2008/09) has just secured sponsorship from HotSprings Hot Tubs & Swim Spas, who will be the teams kit sponsor for 2008/09. We would like to say a huge thank you to Glen Randsford and HotSprings for their generous support.

29/04/08 - Club Trip to Wembley is full. The Club trip to Wembley to watch Torquay United in the Final of the FA Trophy on Saturday 10th May in full. We will be taking a 53 seater coach to Wembley packed with young Bridgers who are set to have an excellent day out.

28/04/08 - Presentations Nights were great! We held out 2007/08 presentation nights for our Junior teams over the weekend, with the younger age groups on Friday and the older age groups on Saturday. Both nights were a great success. The full list of all winners will be posted here shortly along with lots of photos from the night. Thank you all for your excellent support, both nights were very well attended.
 
27/04/08 - New Management Team Announced for 2008/09. Ivybridge Town can today annouce the new management team that will run the First team next season following Martyn King's decision to step down. Martyn will be replaced by former player James Lynch and former Manager Brian Howard who combines to become joint Managers. The pair are working very hard behind the scenes to lay out their plans for next season. We welcome the Beast back to Erme Valley and wish them both every succes.

27/04/08 - King steps down as First Team Manager. It is with regret that we confirm that Martyn King has decided to step down as the First Team Manager, with immediate effect. Martyn started his own business just over 2 years ago and this has been so successful that he has now joined forces to form his new business venture, Fuel Communications. Martyn's success in business and his family committments have meant that he had take the very tough decision to quit. We thank Martyn for everything that he has done for the Club, bioth in his short tenure as manager and through the years as a player.

27/04/08 - Ivybridge Mini Soccer Tournament. With the presentations evenings out of the way, the final preparations are now being made for the Ivybridge Mini Soccer Tournament. We have had a very good response from both local teams and those further afield and look forward to an excellent day of football.

04/03/08 - Colchester United train at Erme Valley. Colchester United were at Erme Valley today to complete their final preparations ahead of this evenings Championship clash with Plymouth Argyle. The U's completed a light training session at Erme Valley and were made to feel very welcome. They left us with a couple of signed match balls as a token of their appreciation.

26/01/08 - First team loss drags them into relegation dog fight. Ivybridge Town lost 5-3 to bottom of the League Holsworthy at Upcpott Field. This loss continues the Bridgers poor run of form and firmly places them in the relegation dog fight. The post-match comments from Manager, Martyn King, will follow shortly.

25/01/08 - Farnham confirms his wish to sign for Saltash. Carlton Farnham has confirmed that he has accepted the offer to transfer across the water to Saltash United following their recent 7 day. It is hoped that we will announce the details of an 'exchange' signing in the next couple of days.

14/01/08 - 5,449 Vouchers collected. Thank you to all of you that collected the Tesco Sports vouchers again this year, in total we hace collected 5,449. These vouchers will be put to good use to purchase 32 match balls for the Junior teams. These would cost £500 to buy, so this scheme has been very worthwhile again this year.

09/01/08 - Club Fundraiser organised. A club fundraising Race Night has been arranged for Saturday 2nd February. The event will be held at Raffles Social Club, Mutley.

05/01/08 - Club Statement on behalf of Under 14's. The 10-man Ivybridge Under 14's put on another brave peformance this morning against Morley Rangers, losing the game 18-0. The situation with the Under 14's has prompted a statement from the Club.

05/01/08 - Jake Harmieson fit and well after nasty injury. We are pleased to confirm that Jake Harmieson is on the mend following a nasty injury which he sustained during this morning's Under 12's game. Jake clashed heads with a Morley player in the early stages of the second half and sustained a very deep cut just above his eye. He was treated at the scene by a Paramedic and then carted off to Derriford in an Ambulance. Jake was patched up with six stitches and is on the mend.

02/01/08 - More directions to DJM pitches uploaded. Directions and maps to additional DJM League pitches have now been uploaded to the DJM Directions page. These included directions to Mary Dean Primary School for the Under 9's game on Saturday.

13/12/07 - Christmas Parties were a great success. All of the Junior Christmas Parties have now taken place, the last of which was this evening at Plymouth Ski Centre. All of the four events were very successful with great support from our Junior teams.

12/11/07 - Tesco Sports Vouchers - Keep them coming. The 2007 Tesco Sports Vouchers campaign finished on 4th November, but we have until February 2008 to submit them. So please keep them coming in and hand them to the Team Manager or to me.

04/10/07 - Bailey suffers bad knee injury. The First Team received some bad news today as a trip to Derriford's A&E confirmed that Lance Bailey has damaged his medial knee ligaments whilst playing for Lakeside this morning. Lance is set to be out for at least 6 weeks. We wish his a speedy recovery.

23/10/07 - Under 13's withdraw from Tesco Cup. Unfortunately, the Under 13's have had to withdraw from the Under 13's Tesco Cup. They had been scheduled to play Dartmouth Leisure Centre Junior FC on Sunday 4th November but this has clashed with a sponsored walk that Ivybridge Rugby Club are running which the majority of the squad are involved in. We had hoped to rearrage the game with Dartmouth but this did not happen.We have therefore had no choice but to withdraw from the Competition.

21/10/07 - Under 12's in DJM Rep Trials. 6 players from the Ivybridge Under 12's squad took part in the Devon Junior and Minor League Representative Trials today. The trials were held at Frankfort Park and were very well supported with over 120 children put forward to the trials.

21/10/07 - Cruel exit for Under 18's in Cup Semi-Final. The Under 18's were knocked out of the Horsham Cup this afternoon by truly cruel circumstances which saw Emmanuel Mason score an excellent deciding goal into the back of his own net! Plymstock won the game 3-4.

01/10/07 - Charter Standard renewal for Adults. The adult section of Ivybridge Town Football Club have recieved confirmation that their Charter Standard status has been renewed for another 3 years by the Football Association. This is excellent news and further proof that we continue to progress as a Club.

23/09/07 - Shock passing of Tim Alford. Our thoughts are with the family of Saltash United Manager, Tim Alford, who passed away suddenly in the early hours. Many from the Ivybridge First Team setup have known Tim for years and are shocked and sadenned by this terrible news. Rest in Peace Tim.

24/08/07 - U13's benefit from Junior Kit Scheme. Club Secretary, Paul Cocks, received confirmation this morning of the Club's successful application to the Football Foundation Junior Kit Scheme. The Under 13's have been awarded a £400 voucher to buy a new Nike kit for next season.

14/08/07 - Club trip to England International. We have been given an additional 50 tickets for the England U21 International against Romania and have organised a Coach for anyone that is interested.The 21st August is fast approaching, so anyone that is interested will need to contact Paul as soon as possible to book places.

13/08/07 - A new Bridger is born. The Ivybridge fan base continues to grow with the addition of Owen, newborn son of Paul and Faye, born on Monday 13th August at 1:54pm and weighing in at 6lb10oz. Mum and Baby doing well and looking forward to coming home at the weekend.
 
04/08/07 - Dartmouth win the Charity Bowl. Dartmouth AFC started the 07/08 campaign as they finished their last, by winning silverware. They beat St Blazey to lift the first ever South West Peninsula League Charity Bowl. Click here for more details.

03/08/07 - Excellent feedback for Soccer School. Our first Summer Soccer School has been declared a resounding success folllowing excellent feedback from the children involved and their parents. Many thanks to our Coaches and to Nigel and Brian for running the School. A big thanks also to our sponsors, Tarmac. We will definiately be running another Soccer School next Summer.

30/07/07 - From Erme Valley to the Emirates. 38 childern involved in the 2007 Ivybridge Soccer School will experience two extremes of facilities this week. They will leave Erme Valley on Thursday morning and travel to London to complete a tour of Arsenal's fantastic Emirates Stadium.

28/07/07 - Buckley makes final Argyle squad. Congratulations to young Daniel Buckley (Under 9's) who has made it to the final Plymouth Argyle Under 9 squad for 2007/08. Daniel is one of 18 youngsters selected from a trial over well over 100 entries. Although we are sad to lose Daniel, we wish him all the very best in his future football career.

14/07/07 - An important day for 2 Junior Ivies. It's a very important day for two of the Under 9's players today, Luke Forward and Daniel Buckley. Luke and Daniel have both been spotted in recent weeks by scouts from Plymouth Argyle and have been invited to attend a trial today. On behalf of everyone at the Club, we wich them good luck.

11/07/07 - Morgan Sticks With Ivies. Ivybridge legend Jamie Morgan has confirmed that he will be playing Peninsula League football with club next season. 11/07/07 - Robertson is the Latest New Face at Erme Valley. Martyn King has just secured another key signing, bringing Neil Robertson to Erme Valley. The Former Vospers Oak Villa and Plymouth Parkway player has joined Ivybridge Town for new season. 06/07/07 - PJ Kingwell sponsorshop boost. Club President, Peter Kingwell, has today confirmed his sponsorship of the First Team's new kit and tracksuits for next season. The Club would like to thank Pete for his generosity and continued support.

30/06/07 - Under 11's knocked out in the Semi-Finals. The Under 11's were invited to take part in a special International Tournament today in Saltash as part of Saltah Youth's annual exchange with French team Saint-Roger. The Under 11's did well, progressing from the group stages to the semi-finals to face Saint-Roger. The French proved too skillful for the Ivies, winning 3-0. Despite the dreadful weather a good day was had by all.

20/06/07 - Smally taking the challenge seriously. More good news for the 1st Team Management this week as Ben Smallridge confirmed that he would no longer be moving to Bristol . Smallridge, a key player for the past few seasons, was quick to confirm his intentions for next season. The news is that he is taking the committment seriously and is "getting on the weights". Although the photo opposite shows his struggle to tie his laces!

14/06/07 - Former Bridgers return. Two former Bridgers, Lance Bailey and Matt Strickland, have signed Carlsberg South West Peninsula League forms with Ivybridge Town and will return to Erme Valley for the 2007/08 season. Click here to read the full story...

13/06/07 - Sought after duo commit to the Club. The club is delighted to announce that the much sought after left-sided duo of Martin Mitchell and Shaun Hulbert are staying at Erme Valley. Both have played a major part in the club's success in recent years and, as a result, attracted plenty of interest from other clubs during the close season. 13/06/07 - New Junior teams officially accepted. At the Devon Junior and Minor Football League AGM this evening, the new Ivybridge Town Under 15's and Under 18's teams were officially accepted in the League for the 2007/08 season. This is great news and takes the Clubs Junior section up to 11 competitive teams.

12/06/07 - New First Team Management Team Announced. We are delighted to announce the appointment of the New Management Team that will take the Ivybridge Town First team into the Premier Division of the South West Peninsula League next season. Click here to view the press release...

08/06/07 - Website wins Award. This website was voted as as the best site in the Devon League at this year's annual Devon League Dinner, coming in ahead of stiff competition from Cullompton and Alphington.

04/06/07 - Ivybridge Juniors has been running exactly 3 years today, with the very first Junior Coaching session taking place on 4th June 2004. Well, they say time flys! The Club has achieved a tremedous amount in 3 years; it's one of only a handful of clubs in the County to achieve FA Charter Standard Development Status and we now have 11 teams in place, providing football for over 200 children. Congratulations to all concerned on what has been achieved.


01/06/07 -Howard Steps Down. After more than 20 years as the First Team Manager at Ivybridge Town, Brian Howard has decided to step down and has accepted a new role at the Club, as General Manager. Howard's replacements are due to be announced shortly and are the start of a renewed sense of excitement at Erme Valley as the Ivies pull out of all of the stops to prepare for the start of their South West Peninsula League Premier Division campaign.
